Uma's Wall...
Ok here's the pictures of Uma's wall, i have enjoyed painting it so much. I'm sure we'll keep adding to it. She has already asked for a family of butterflies.
Uma has turned out to be quite a hard task master, wasn't too impressed when she noticed that i had overlapped the flowers and the tree "why did you mix them mommy???" "it's not pretty now!!!"
well she's grown to love it :o)
I guess that's all part of the fun of having a three year old girl as your boss...

Kids in bed :) woohooo
Well i have been having loads of fun painting one of Uma's walls...
i had been looking at wall stickers but kept thinking i could probably paint something nicer so after a chat about how only mommies are aloud to draw on walls, i went in with my pencil and free-handed a big tree. She asked for a mommy and daddy Hoo-hoooo (owl) so we added them and some love-birds, plus lots of flowers...
the hardest part of painting this wall is that i normaly get to do my crafty stuff after i put the kids to bed but i cant really paint in the dark while standing on a bed with a sleeping girl in it... almost tempted to give it a go though :D
Looking forward to being able to post pictures of the finished wall...

Sorry pictures are off my phone so quality isn't great...

Hats...
the pink and purple hat was my trial run crocheting little hats for www.isands.ie (A Little Lifetime Foundation) a charity that provides information and support to bereaved parents and families of babies who have died...
a lot of premature babies born have nothing to wear and these little tiny babies look so small and fragile, as a mother you just want to wrap them up...
A little lifetime foundation will take your knitted, crocheted or sewed, hats blanket, wraps and teddies and send them to hospitals where they will be given to the little-ones who need them...
they will add a card to say who made this for their Angel and this poem ...
Wrapped in Love
In honour of your precious child
We made this little wrap
With caring hands and loving hearts
So comfort might be part.
Knowing it is given
To a baby who has died,
We made each stitch with tender care
And tucked much love inside.
When looking back in days to come
We hope that you will see,
Woven in these pastel threads,
A few brief, precious memories.

im going wool shoping today to get lots of wool in lovely pastel baby colours :o)
